Older Toddler Room

Our
older toddler room teacher implements creative lessons and has established
an excellent learning environment. Numerous activities are offered throughout
the day. The children are encouraged to participate in all of these activities
to improve their fine and gross motor and social skills. Our morning begins
with circle time which focuses on building each child's cognitive abilities.
During circle time the toddlers learn about the theme, count in English
and Spanish, work on letter recognition and sort and match colors and
shapes, read stories and sing songs. This age group is being prepared
to move to the preschool room. We start potty training and developing
other self help skills. The children are allowed to do as much as possible
for themselves with a reassuring teacher by their side. |
